$725,000 in that location... with houses in japan being seen as consumer goods, the structure value itself even if as beautiful as this will likely depreciation quite a bit over the next 10 years. You'd by this for your love of the location and the winter tourism, not as your classic investment. I'd probably look towards Tokyo for that kind of money, not countyside Kyoto.

My place in Yokohama had the baller view (Mt Fuji, Minato Mirai, Harbour, and Downtown Tokyo all the way to the sky tree….. but was 1/10th the size 😊A) rent was about the same $3.5K which was amazingly cheap compared to Boston. That place though wow. If only I had a rich Japanese relative that needed an heir.

modern apartments have incomplete layouts, they all lack an office room where people can set their work station to work from home and so we have to transform other spaces, like the kitchen, living room or a bedroom.

The interior space is quite nice, although I'm not so sure about the location. Sure, being close to a major transit point is definitely a benefit in you're living in Tokyo, but in terms of aesthetics, the neighborhood leaves much to be desired to put it kindly. That spiderweb of electric cabling and distribution transformer atop the utility pole being so close to my roof-deck would be a deal breaker. If I was in the market for a home in this price range, I would be looking at a neighborhood that presents as a little more upscale with more greenery and boutique shops in the nearby vicinity. Good job though. You sell it quite well. I'm sure this is the perfect spot for someone out there. Just not me.
